Day 01: Manali to Chikka (3,300 meters)

Chikka to Chhatru (3,360 meters)

As one approaches the Hamta Pass, rocks and boulders slope down from the flanks in magnificent sweeps. Over the pass, the route descends rapidly down to Chhatru where a grassy meadow above the Chandra river offers a good camping site. A rest House is located here. |

Day 03:
Chhatru to Chhota Drara (3,890 meters)

Day 04: Chhota Drara to Batal (3,960 meters)

|
Batal is situated at the foot of Kunzam pass (4551m) which provides the main approach to Spiti from Lahaul. On the way is Bara Shigri glacier. The view of the Shigri is an unforgettable sight. A hut is located here. |

Day 05: Batal to Chandratal (4,270 meters)
|
|
|
Chandratal (The Moon Lake) is exquisite beauty between a lower ridge and the main Kunzam range, the outlet being into the Chandra river. |

Day 06:
Chandratal to Topko Gongma (4,640 meters)
|
|
|
Topko means river in Tibetan, Gongma means lower, and Yongma means upper.

Day 07:
Topko Yongma to Topko Yongma (4,830 meters)

Day 08: Topko Yongma to Baralacha (4,830 meters)

Day 09: Baralacha to Patseo (3,811 meters)
